Hi, I'm Jeff.
I'm Jeff Deville. For 20+ years I've built the kind of software that breaks businesses when it goes down — solar inverter fleets that have to talk to the grid, financial systems handling real money for brokerage partners, AI that gets doctors' prior-auth approvals past insurance companies. Today I lead a team at dbt Labs, where the data plumbing under a lot of companies you've heard of has to just work, every minute, or somebody's dashboard goes dark and somebody else's Monday gets ruined. The thread through all of it: when the system stops answering, somebody's day falls apart. That's the only kind of software I know how to build.
WorkHand isn't what I started building. HearthConnect — my other company — was my first crack at helping the trades. I've spent the last year on the phone with exterior contractors — siding guys, roofers, paint crews — and the same thing kept coming up before we ever got to talking about my actual product. "I lost two jobs last week because I was on a roof and couldn't get to the phone." "My wife answers calls at night and she hates it." "I tried one of those answering services and they booked a customer for a service we don't even offer." Same problem when I started talking to HVAC owners — different season, same lost jobs. I'd show up to demo something else and end up taking notes on the missed-call problem for an hour. At some point it stopped being a side conversation and started being the thing.
I'm building this solo, on purpose. I'm self-funded — no VCs, no exit timeline — and I'm doing this nights and weekends from my day job at dbt Labs. I go full-time on WorkHand the moment customer revenue covers my paycheck; your subscription is what gets me there.
I'm talking to owners one at a time before I spend a dollar on ads. The support number is (484) 228-1940 — it rings my cell, and I answer EST, 8am-6pm. Call at 7pm because the thing booked something weird and you're getting me, not a ticket queue. If I'm heads-down at dbt and miss your call, you'll get a callback the same business day — and the platform itself runs independent of me; my phone is for when something feels weird, not for the system to function.

My commitment to you
- I won't sell, share, or train outside models on your customer data — your call list is yours, and if you cancel I'll send you an export and delete it.
- If WorkHand isn't paying for itself in your first 60 days — your dashboard shows booked jobs and attributed revenue, you decide — email me at jeff@workhand.ai and I'll refund you personally. Not a credit, not a "we'll review it," a refund.
- $149/mo, month-to-month. No annual contracts, no cancellation fees, no "talk to your account manager to cancel." Cancel from a button in the dashboard, and I'll prorate the days you didn't use.
